The Hispanic Vote

I was listening to AM 790 yesterday and a Hispanic "conservative democrat" was being interviewed about Sonia Sotomayor and how if the GOP did not confirm her they would lose every national election from now on because of the loss of the Hispanic vote. My question to him is, what Hispanic vote have we ever received? Look at the Clinton vs. Bush years http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A22082-2004Dec23.html and tell me why the Hispanics did not line up and vote republican in the last election. If you try and please everyone you end up pleasing no one. This is why my generation must lead the GOP back to its Conservative roots. Obama got elected by catering to the far left and I think that the right candidate could get elected by catering to the right. We need someone with conviction to stand up and tell the moderates to get in line or get lost. Only 54% of the eligible population voted in 2008. That leaves 46% (137,723,302) potential voters that can be energized by someone dispensing with all the BS. People want a leader and someone to speak truthfully. Hopefully in 2012 we will see this from the GOP. We need to kick the RINO's out and quit letting the tail wag the dog. We need to tell Colin Powell to take his Uncle Tom in negative butt and hit the road. I still believe that if you are in the right then in the end you win. We may lose for a few years but eventually truth will win out.
